10 Upcoming Movie Sequels We STILL Can't Believe Are Real
8. Sorority Row 2
2009's Sorority Row - a remake of the 1982 slasher film The House on Sorority Row - was largely panned by critics yet turned a modest profit at the box office.
And while this might've led some to expect a sequel to be quickly churned out within a year or two, it never actually came to pass. Hardly the most surprising outcome in the world.
What is surprising, though, is that back in April original writer Josh Stolberg declared that Sorority Row 2 is happening, even posting a makeup test with actress Leah Pipes - who played the ill-fated Jessica Pierson in the first film - to social media.
Stolberg added that once his current project has wrapped shooting, he intends to sit down with Lionsgate to get the wheels turning on Sorority Row 2.
As for how Jessica will be back despite very explicitly dying in the 2009 movie? Stolberg said, "It’ll all make sense in the end."
Considering that slasher nostalgia is basically at an all-time high right now, there's probably no better time for Sorority Row 2, even if few expected it to be happen almost two decades after the original came out.
