Why You Should Watch It: You saw Infinity War, right? In addition to resolving that agonising cliffhanger, it's the climactic entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to this point, and will likely see a few mainline superheroes making their bittersweet farewells.
Why You'll Actually Watch It: It would be disingenuous to suggest that the above reasons aren't enough of a selling point for any fan, but ultimately Avengers 4 won't have all that much finality about it, because it's merely the latest entry into a conveyor-belt of never-ending superhero movies.
Really, the intrigues lies in how Avengers 4 will set up the future of the MCU, and in particular, whether or not the impending Disney-Fox merger will have any bearing on the end of the movie.
As terribly unlikely as it is, many are nevertheless convinced that Avengers 4's post-credits scene - assuming it even has one - could see the X-Men or the Fantastic Four introduced.
Obviously casting won't have taken place yet, but some sort of not-so-subtle hint at their arrival would certainly be a potent statement of intent.
It's almost certainly not happening, but that won't stop many watching Avengers 4 with their fingers and toes crossed for it all the same.
