10 Upcoming Superhero Movies Hollywood Needs To Stop Pretending Will Happen

While we know now that Justice League was always destined to be a disaster, it wasn't a total write off. One of the standout stars was Cyborg (along with The Flash), something which WB quickly recognised, as they greenlit two solo movies for the heroes despite the team up's box-office failings.

However, all developments since then have been centred on The Flash. Ezra Miller's superhero brought some much-needed levity to the DCEU, and his solo movie, which was originally going to be titled Flashpoint and based on the comic event of the same now but now probably isn't, was quickly put into production with John Francis Daley and Johnathan Goldstein closing a deal to direct.

Cyborg, on the other hand, hasn't had a sliver of news since its announcement - but that's probably a good thing. While he was a standout of Justice League, considering just how many potential films are being considered by WB at the moment, it's hard to see him becoming one of the universe's tentpole solo heroes.

The lore is there, of course, but WB need locked-in, bona-fide hits to reestablish confidence in their brand, and probably aren't going to be willing to take a risk on a hero like this for quite some time.
