A lot of characters in fiction have their weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Even some of the most powerful characters out there can be taken down with some very trivial objects, scenarios or concepts, to the extent that some very godly characters can be rendered completely harmless. A good pre-list example is Dracula, who has appeared in many movies and is generally depicted in his classic form as having a weakness to sunlight, garlic, crucifixes and wooden stakes. Of course, the extent of these weaknesses vary. For some characters, their weaknesses merely scare them off, for others they lose their powers, others are caused severe pain and certain characters can be outright killed by their weaknesses.
