10 Ways 2016's Superhero Movies Will Leave Fanboys Massively Disappointed

8. Captain America Isn't Going To Die

There are many iconic moments from the Civil War comic books that fans would like to see on the big screen, but pretty much the best of them simply aren't going to make it to the big screen. One of those is obviously the last page reveal in issue #2 of the series which saw Spider-Man reveal his identity to the world, and another is the shocking epilogue featuring the death of Captain America. Chris Evans has already confirmed that he'll be shooting Avengers: Infinity War next year, and seeing as Captain America: Civil War is likely to gross over $1 billion (not to mention the fact that The Winter Soldier also earned over $700 million), there's just no way Marvel is going to get rid of one of their biggest box office draws in order to give the fans the pleasure of seeing Bucky wield the shield as he did in the comics. That in itself is disappointing, but also a decision which it's easy to understand. The first trailer for the movie was great, but made it clear that Joe and Anthony Russo are going to be delivering a very different take on the story, so chances are that this first Phase 3 release is going to have relatively little in common with the series it shares its name with. That was to be expected, but you can be sure that it will still anger many fans.
