2. A Joke That Would've Been Straight Out Of The Prequels
Watch the prequels back now (if you dare) and you'll notice even more random background aliens or droids making stupid noises, falling over or doing something that's supposed to be "fun" for the kids. They even show up when Anakin's slaughtering people in Episode III, or when he's duelling Obi-Wan above rivers of lava.
Though these "jokes" were some of the most roundly despised elements of Episodes I-III, the original version of the Fathier animal chase on Canto Bight had a reprise of such a thing.
Coming during an extended version of the chase itself, Finn and Rose were set to crash through an alien bathhouse, where a creature would hilariously get tossed up in the air, make some funny noise, and lose its bathrobe in the process.
Yup... that's the level they were working on. Thankfully, the idea was scrapped.
