Deadpool is coming into the MCU but he won't exactly be the same Deadpool from the first two films.

The latest rumors suggest that although Ryan Reynolds will still play the Merc with a Mouth, he'll be getting a soft reboot when he makes his way into the MCU. If this is true, it makes perfect sense that Disney would want to capitalize on Reynold's popularity while modifying the character's on-screen history to suit their own storylines.

Because Deadpool and Deadpool 2 were largely unconnected to the other X-Men films (aside from a few meta gags), this possibility won't be too difficult for audiences to accept. The X-Men films (and even some MCU entries) have continuity issues and are still enjoyable for the general audience.

How will the MCU bring in the potty-mouthed assassin?

Obviously, the simplest way is to give him his own film again and spend the runtime rewriting his origin to connect it to the MCU. With a limited number of films released per year, however, we shouldn't be surprised if Deadpool makes his first entrance in a different MCU movie.

Will they return to Department K's Weapon X program or will the Snap have created our favorite fourth-wall-breaking friend? Let's look at ten ways the MCU can reboot Deadpool.

10. The Snap

Many fans speculate that the gamma radiation unleashed from one or all of the Snaps is what will cause the activation of the x-gene. This is a solid theory that would smoothly fit mutants into the MCU without much of a fuss.

But what if the Snap was a little more afflicting for one mutant in particular? What if Wade Wilson cannot mentally cope with these extreme events?

If Wade Wilson was snapped out of existence, only to discover that the world moved on without him, it gives the MCU an opportunity to show the damaging psychological impact of the Snap through the eyes of an unstable mutant.

Spider-Man: FFH touched on it briefly, but the film focused too much on Tony Stark's death and left little room to really explore the ramifications of the Snap. Deadpool is the perfect character to fill in this gap because he will literally talk directly to the audience about it.
