With Vampires being all the rage these days with the success of Twilight, why not simply combine two of the biggest cash cows of all time by bringing vampire Batman to the big screen. It might sound absolutely insane, but official graphic novels - such as 1991s Batman & Dracula: Red Rain - have seen Batman reborn as a creature of the night after being bitten by a vengeance seeking vampire named Tanya. Sadly Bruce Wayne doesnt contract the ability to literally turn into a Bat, but his newfangled vampirism grants him super strength and more organic Bat wings. Red Rain sees Vampire Batman taking on hordes of Draculas minions and eventually Dracula himself, in a dark and well-received storyline which spawned two sequels named Bloodstorm and Crimson Mist - both of which further expanded the mythology of vampires within the Batman universe. Its hard to see Warner Bros taking Batman in such a dark turn towards gothic horror, but the Batman & Dracula comics have plenty of potential to offer us something weve never seen before from the film franchise.
