10 Worst Dads In Horror Movie History

10. Wilfred James - 1922

1922 is one of the lesser-known/appreciated Stephen King adaptations on the market, but considering how damn many of them there are, that's not too shocking. Still, while the movie might have gone under the radar, anyone who did watch it can agree that Wilfred James did not have his son's best interests in mind.

The movie follows Wilfred as he murders his wife to stop her from selling their farm. That's terrible enough on its own, but it becomes even worse after he coerces his teenage son into helping with the murder. Yikes, that's not the kind of father/son bonding you like to see.

It should come as no surprise that this severely traumatises the kid and leads him down a perilous road. The guilt also torments Wilfred, as he's haunted by the fear of what he has done. Still, you could easily argue that he deserves it, as it was deeply wrong of him to put that kind of pressure and sin on a kid. Murdering your wife is bad enough; you don't need to involve your son!

Naturally, this won't be the only Stephen King-written father to make it onto this list. In fact, it's only the beginning.
