10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2025 (So Far)

2. Piglet

In this bare-bones slasher, Kate heads to a cabin in the woods with her friends to celebrate her 21st birthday, unaware there's a maniac donned in a pig mask roaming the region.

Now, it's worth mentioning the horror genre is so chock-a-blocked with films involving a mute masked killer, they need to do something different to stand out, (much like In A Violent Nature last year).

With that said, there's nothing to distinguish Piglet from the myriad of other generic slashers. The characterisation is so non-existent, all of Kate's friends blend together, making it challenging to distinguish one from another. Although Kate has an intriguing backstory, the film fixates less on fleshing her out and more on gratuitous sex scenes.

It's obvious the film crew couldn't get the blood squibs to work, since they rely on CGI blood when someone is stabbed, which looks amateur. The gore is often accompanied by a muted sound effect, lessening the impact of each kill. In fact, there is no stabbing sound whatsoever in the scene where a woman is hacked up in the shower, turning a potentially visceral sequence into comedy gold.

Despite the 83-minute run-time, anyone who subjects themselves to watching Piglet will be bored out of their mind.
