8. The Raptor Helper - Jurassic Park
One of the best things about Jurassic Park, and the thing that helps its stunning effects stand up even 15 years after it was made is the mix of practical and digital effects, including some of the most impressive puppetry in Hollywood history.
Obviously, the problem with puppets, of course - aside from the very real threat of them coming alive and terrorising you - is that they bring in the possibility of human error. And where there's a possibility of human error, there is usually human error.
In Jurassic Park's iconic raptors in the kitchen sequence, the first raptor to enter is a puppet, rather than a CGI creation, and the easiest way to work that out is the handy crew hand that is annoyingly visible steadying the creatures tail as it enters.
You'd think on a film this invested in digital work, they could have just fixed it in post-production, but nope.
