11 Changes The MCU Wishes It Could Make

9. Replace Terrence Howard With Don Cheadle From Day Dot

Terrence Howard's issues with Marvel are well-documented, though there are two versions, depending on who you ask. One side says Howard's argument essentially amounting to the man wanting more money than Robert Downey Jr, which is ridiculous, for obvious reasons. The other side - which Howard tells - is that they renegotiated his contract to give him an eighth of what he had signed on for, meaning his protest was for the SAME money as Downey Jr rather than more. Either way, Marvel went the easy option of recasting the role with another actor who'd be perfectly fine with less pay. The man for the job was evidently Don Cheadle, who's made for a great Rhodey since his first appearance in Iron Man 2. His back-and-forth with Downey Jr. feels a lot more effortless, and it's clear that he was the best choice all along. It wouldn't be a stretch to imagine Marvel looking back at Iron Man, wishing they'd saved themselves the hassle and cast Don Cheadle from the word go.
