Does anyone really need to see Rocky Balboa - the ultimate underdog champion who beat expectations, personal limitations and his own backstory - return to the screen as a faded glory? We've already seen it once, after all, and the difference there was that the cult hero was still in the ring himself. Now, he's passing on his knowledge and skill (which both amounted to very little in the first movie, and somehow grew to that of the greatest living boxer ever for the sequels) to Michael B Jordan's Adonis Creed, who wants to follow in his father's footsteps. But not by dying in the ring, hopefully. The questions here are many and varied: can Jordan overcome the crippling ghost of Fantastic Four and rescue his reputation? And can Ryan Coogler avoid sophomore syndrome after the ridiculously good Fruitvale Station? And most importantly, is Rocky the coach still as great a draw as Rocky the fighter? Best Guess Answer It might be a passing of the torch movie, but the idea of Rocky without his gloves is a little like watching a Jaws sequel that stars a toothless Bruce shuffling around an underwater retirement home.
