11 Things Justice League Must Avoid

7. Overcompensating With Excessive Humour

When the first Justice League teaser dropped last summer, it clearly seemed to nod towards the film having a lighter, more comical tone, something that's been backed up by producer Geoff Johns, who has claimed the film will be "hopeful and optimistic" in comparison to Batman v Superman's often funereal tenor.

Greater tonal balance and more humour are absolutely great things for Justice League, but Johns and co. also need to be careful not to overload the film with too many gags in order to compensate for prior failures, or worse still, simply attempt to emulate the more quip-heavy nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The comedy that's been shown off in Justice League's trailers so far seems to be on the money, but hopefully it doesn't pull an Avengers: Age of Ultron and end up having the relentless gag-dropping detract from the palpable (super)human drama.
