7. The Main Bond Theme Is Grossly Overused
Monty Norman's James Bond theme is without question one of the most iconic tracks in the history of cinema, an instantly recognisable tune in just about any country or culture, and one that appears in every single Bond film in one way or another.
While the filmmakers here were clearly thrilled with having such a vibrant earworm at their disposal, they do rather overuse the song, awesome though it is.
Including the opening and closing titles, the Bond theme is used a staggering seven times throughout the 109 minute run-time, often during a fairly boring scene, as if in an attempt to spruce it up. It'd make much more sense for the song to be used during intense action, but instead it's often just used when Bond is walking around and not doing much of interest.
At least they quickly learned their lesson with this one, and the theme became much more subdued in future outings.
