Up to this point in the Bond franchise, the paid product placements have actually been kept fairly vague and subtle - with a few exceptions, especially Bollinger - yet Moonraker doesn't give a toss and shamelessly pimps itself out for that sweet brand moolah.

The movie is absolutely rife with excessive, abundant product placement, from prominent signs for 7-Up, to the frequent appearance of Marlboro cigarettes, and most egregiously, a British Airways sign that one of Hugo Drax's (Michael Lonsdale) goons crashes through.

This is the first Bond film where the shilling is actively distracting. Clearly, given Moonraker's stonking $34 million budget - more than double that of The Spy Who Loved Me - Cubby Broccoli was rather keen to recoup some of his costs back before it even hit cinemas. Gross.
