Now we're getting onto the actors who truly are box office poison. Jessica Biel may not be the best actress out there, but she's gorgeous and generally does a decent enough job in most things she stars in, yet her hits of the last decade truly are few and far between. They include Cellular, Blade: Trinity (a franchise sold on Wesley Snipes), The Illusionist, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (sold on Adam Sandler), Valentine's Day (a massive ensemble) and New Year's Eve (another big ensemble). And the flops? Take a big breath: Stealth (her biggest flop), Elizabethtown, London, Home of the Brave, Next, Easy Virtue, Planet 51, Powder Blue, The A-Team (another big flop), Total Recall (yet another blockbuster bomb), The Tall Man, Playing for Keeps, Hitchcock and The Truth about Emanuel. Why Is She A Flop? Poor choices on the part of her agent are one thing, though Biel doesn't exactly have a lot of screen presence in even her good roles, and in most of the aforementioned movies both good and bad, she's not really very memorable (not that this makes her a bad actress per se). She needs a big, juicy role that will endear audiences to her, though we don't see it on the horizon anytime soon, especially with three big-budget bombs under her belt.
