1. John David Washington
John David Washington is the son of Denzel Washington, and best known for his roles as Ricky Jerret on HBO's show Ballers and, most recently, for his Golden Globe-nominated turn as Ron Stallworth in BlacKkKlansman.
But Washington is about to have a rocket strapped to him, as he's set to star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming sci-fi action film Tenet.
Though little is known about his still-unnamed protagonist, the first trailer makes it abundantly clear that Washington's going to have a meaty part which will make him an immediately-known commodity with more mainstream audiences.
Furthermore, his name is the only one featured in the movie's marketing so far, despite him co-starring with Robert Pattinson.
That suggests an unexpected confidence in his ability to carry Tenet on his shoulders, and given his obviously exemplary acting chops, there's no chance of him disappointing.
Don't be shocked if Washington ends up cast in an MCU movie before 2020 is out - the most obvious choice being Black Panther 2's villain, perhaps? - because Hollywood is going to be coming for him hard over the next 12 months.
