12 Awesome Sounding Sequels We Wish Had Happened

10. History of the World: Part II

But wait there€™s more!! Or at least that€™s what the final scene Mel Brooks€™ 1981 Uber spoof History of the World Part 01 promised. A promise Brooks never intended to keep, so in reality it was a lie. But that doesn€™t make the lack of sequel hurt any less, in fact in makes hurt just a little bit more. Especially with everything that finally scene claimed to offer. A Viking funeral, a musical number featuring Jews in space, and who can ever forget Hitler on Ice. Though these things were meant as nothing more than a few quick gags; intended to round off an already hysterical movie. They carried with them potential to be so much more. Like a second hilarious history lesson from one of the world€™s greatest comedy minds. As far as the plot goes is anybody€™s guess, not that would have really mattered chances are it would have been excellent. Just like most things Mel Brooks touched, but we€™ll never know because Brooks has refused to stop aging, and besides audiences today are a bit too sensitive for his brand of no holds barred humor. At least we€™ll always have those last few minutes of History of the World Part 1 to remind us of what could have been.
