1. Harry’s Magic Mirror
When the books introduced Harry Potter's magic mirror as a means for Harry to communicate (unknowingly) with Aberforth Dumbledore, they introduced a cast-iron plot point that was necessary for the resolution of Harry's story. Without that, Harry wouldn't have been rescued by Dobby from the Malfoys' mansion.
Unfortunately, the Order Of The Phoenix adaptation left the mirror out completely, with the director - for some reason - deeming it not important enough. if only they'd asked JK Rowling.
So when it came time for the mirror to be important in the Deathly Hallows, the films simply decided that Sirius had given Harry the mirror at some point in the past.
