12. Doctor Strange Caused His Own Car Crash - Doctor Strange

Before Stephen Strange became the Sorcerer Supreme, he was an egotistical, narcissistic neurosurgeon, believing himself to be above others who couldn't match his own skill or intelligence. He was incredibly rich, and liked to flaunt his worth with expensive watches and fast cars, the latter of which almost got him killed.

While on his way to speak at a fancy dinner, Strange was driving recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic, on the wrong side of the road around sharp corners, and barely missing oncoming vehicles. This would have been bad enough but then he started looking at potential patients at the same time.

With the way he was driving, even if he had kept his eyes on the road he would have likely injured himself and others before looking at x-rays while travelling way over the speed limit, in the pouring rain, in the dark. This led to Stephen's life hitting rock bottom, and he has only himself to blame.

Though without making this decision Doctor Strange would never have become so desperate as to seek help in Kamar-Taj and become the Sorcerer Supreme, it doesn't mean it was any less dumb. He could have killed himself and taken other innocent lives with him.
