7. Memoria

The next movie from Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and his first English-language project, Memoria stars Tilda Swinton as a woman travelling to Columbia, who starts getting haunted by strange sounds.

As far as premises go, it doesn't get much vaguer than Memoria, but judging the director's previous work audiences should expect something suitably challenging and poetic.

The set photos released so far don't shine too much more light on the plot, simply chronicling Swinton's character on her adventure. This is no doubt not going to be for everyone, but the actor has never given a bad performance yet, and can absolutely carry a film like this.
