12 Huge Movies That Deadpool Destroyed At The Box Office

5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Box Office: $709 million The Spider-Man films have always been box office dynamite: Sam Raimi's original trilogy cooked up $821.8 million, $783.8 million and $890.9 million respectively, but Marc Webb's reboot couldn't quite reach the same standard, resulting in a "disappointing" cume for Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Falling short of the original Amazing Spider-Man's $757.9 million, part two was widely lambasted for its excessive length and over-abundance of villains, none of which were handled particularly well. It's just hilarious to consider that, as we stand on the eve of Spider-Man being rebooted once again for Marvel Studios, it was just mere months ago that his last movie got trounced by the Merc with a Mouth. When the kids start abandoning Spidey and Deadpool wins out, you know Sony have really screwed something up.
