11. Rocky Balboa, The Trainer - Creed

Why We're Worried: 2006's Rocky Balboa tied up the iconic boxer's story in a perfectly neat, satisfying little bow, so to see Sylvester Stallone taking on the iconic role once again has the potential to completely undo that, especially if the rumours that Rocky is fighting an illness this time are true. As much as the movie is called Creed, it's clearly going to market itself heavily on Stallone's presence, and there's the distinct possibility it'll basically just end up being Rocky 6.5, which would be a shame. Why This Image Rocks: Seeing Rocky wearing a hat (just like his trainer Mickey Goldmill did in the earlier films) and standing side-by-side with Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed signifies a sure passing of the torch, that this time, Rocky truly will be taking a peripheral role and giving a young new actor the limelight. Dramatically, the film could go either way, sure, but to see Stallone transitioning into the older mentor role in such visually literal terms provides hope that it won't be all about him.
