The Role: High-ranking CIA operative August Walker, who has been tasked with tracking Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) down and killing him in order to contain a botched IMF mission.
Why You Should Be Excited: Justice League died for this, but considering the majesty of Henry Cavill's moustache here, it's easy to see why Paramount wouldn't let him shave the lip caterpillar for the superhero movie's re-shoots.
In all seriousness, though, Cavill looks set to be the Mission Impossible series' most physically imposing villain to date, boasting a calmly collected composure yet clearly capable of causing great harm to his enemies.
The marketing has done a fantastic job of playing-up his Terminator-like presence, which should mesh perfectly with Cruise's physical commitment to the series' action sequences.
