The Films You Don't: But the Children of the Corn series has lived on ever since. 1996's Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering saw the franchise go straight-to-video and feature a before-fame Naomi Watts, while Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror introduced audiences to Eva Mendes, and each subsequent film simply became less and less consequential. Despite the series appearing to die a death after 2001's Revelation, in 2009, a straight-to-video remake of the original film was released, before 2011's Children of the Corn: Genesis hit our shores.
