11. This Is What Power Rangers' New Rita Repulsa Looks Like

Fans rejoiced when an actress of Elizabeth Banks' caliber and experience dealing with ridiculous make-up and costumes was chosen to play the villainous Rita Repulsa in the Power Rangers reboot.

We got our first glimpse of what the character will look like, and it's nothing if not a radical divergence from what fans will remember of the original Rita. Gone is the rather baggy brown outfit adorned with black spikes and a gigantic metallic hat, swapped out for a form-fitting, spiked green number, dyed hair and facial make-up to give the effect of protruding facial bones.

It certainly looks creepy as hell, and while a major shift from the expected, it'll do nothing if not make this Power Rangers its own beast rather than a lazy homage.
