5. There Are Genuine Plot Surprises

Again no spoilers here, but you couldn't blame audiences if they went into this movie expecting a rather predictable and familiar plot with nothing in the way of surprises, as a safe way of fully introducing Spider-Man to the MCU.

While that's true for most of the story, there are a few unexpected moments sure to catch viewers off-guard, particularly two late-day reveals that'll have many fans berating themselves for not realising them sooner. They're both cleverly hidden in plain sight and have amusing pay-offs later on.

Whether you're a full-on Spidey fanboy or a filthy casual, these reveals are terrifically entertaining all the same.
