Now, if you were to view this scene from The Cable Guy with the sound off you would think it was a post-coital scene between Chip and Steven. Considering what Steven finds out in this scene, he would probably have preferred that to be the case. Following a major party thrown by Chip to boost Steven's spirits, the two "friends" awake the next morning the recoup over a nice breakfast of bacon and eggs (prepared by Chip, of course). Steven had a particularly good night; he had a romantic encounter an attractive and mysterious party goer. Needless to say, it's all fun and merriment at the breakfast table. It goes on until Chip nonchalantly let's a tiny detail about the other night and the certain mysterious party goer who Steven "connected" with slip. It's hard to say what's funnier about the scene: the way Chip has elbowed his way into Steven's life and home, how everything plays out like a morning-after-sex routine, or the fact that Chip is so relaxed about the bomb he drops. I think it has to do with Chip's very pronounced (and hilarious) lisp, and the awkward way he pronounces scrambled eggs.
