12 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Awesome

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a textbook example of a workmanlike, been-there-done-that sequel which does little beyond print another easy billion bucks for Universal and keep the brand name in audience's minds for another while.
However, it is a movie that could've been so, so much better with some quick improvements, largely by re-drafting the piecemeal script and reshaping the film's tone.
It's enormously frustrating that a series with so much (commercial) success and potential to be incredible consistently serves up mediocre results. It really shouldn't be that hard to make an entertaining dinosaur thriller, especially as the Jurassic Park franchise has basically cornered the market on the subgenre and has virtually zero competition.
With just a little more effort and critical thought, Fallen Kingdom could've decisively been the best and most interesting of all the sequels, rather than a me-too instalment that's really just doing the bare minimum to skate by. Here's everything that it desperately needed...
