Joel Schumacher'€™s phone box thriller was a triumph in making the one location most of us fear we'€™ll get trapped in at night into a nail-biting blockbuster. The story, Stuart Shepard (Colin Farrell) stuck in a phone booth while a maniac sniper harangues him over the phone, sticks to its primary locale. This means, no cut-aways to the police, to the baddy, to Farrell€™'s girlfriend, none of it - but it was definitely a risk that paid off.

The trailers offered up the usual snippets of action, and a chance to hear the villain'€™s creepy voice - and a very recognisable one it was too (particularly now) - for some, just a few words was all it took to identify the actor behind the voice, but for others, they had no idea.

Alright, so it wasn'€™t Seven and he€™'s not Kevin Spacey, but the idea of not finding out it'€™s Kiefer Sutherland until the end would have been good. If they hadn'€™t put his face or name on the poster.
