11. Batman & Catwoman (Batman Returns)
If The Dark Knight Rises struggled to forge a convincing romantic connection between Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), Tim Burton did a much better job of it two decades prior in Batman Returns.
It no doubt helped immeasurably that Michael Keaton's interpretation of Bruce Wayne was always depicted as a little more unhinged - the guy slept upside down like a bat, for Christ's sake - making him seem like a far snugger fit for the demented charms of Michelle Pfeiffer's PVC-clad Catwoman.
In fairness, the pair never quite got to seal the deal, but the sexual tension between them is off-the-charts in every single scene they share together regardless. That's not to ignore their mutual traumatic pasts or, er, penchant for dressing up like animals. Kinky.
