12. Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender is legitimately one of the most gifted actors to have "broken out" of the British and Irish industry since 2010, with some incredible, award-worthy performances showcasing his intensity and a sort of otherworldly quality that makes detached and haunted characters a speciality.

Unfortunately, he's in a little bit of a rut at the minute having made a series of blunders since the excellent Macbeth in 2015. Since then, he's had sparse positives - aside for The Light Between Oceans - and there could have been some legitimate fears for his decision-making process.

His poor run of form actually stretched back to FIVE films when he made the unsurprisingly poor Assassin's Creed in 2016, and has also taken in Trespass Against Us, Song To Song, Alien Covenant and The Snowman. Yes, some might argue that Covenant is okay, but it's boring, overly complex and unnecessarily obtuse and it's just not a good time.
