4. The Bye Bye Man

A strong contender for the worst-titled movie of 2017, The Bye Bye Man touts a decent enough premise, but squanders it on an awkward mash-up of countless better movies, while failing to bring enough fresh or unique to the table.

Badly acted and horribly written ("You know I can't read in the dark. What do you think I am, a flashlight?"), the film is all the more baffling for its ability to rope Carrie Anne-Moss and Faye freaking Dunaway into the disaster, especially as this is Oscar-winner Dunaway's first theatrically-released film in years.

Alternately hilariously bad and simply painful to suffer through, The Bye Bye Man is lazy horror at its absolute worst.

What It Should've Been Nominated For: Worst Picture, Worst Director (Stacy Title), Worst Supporting Actress (Faye Dunaway), Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel (for riffing on A Nightmare on Elm Street and It Follows) and Worst Screenplay.
