Jared Leto was forced to turn down an offer of a key role in a film by Clint Eastwood. The American Sniper director wanted Leto to participate in his war drama Flags Of Our Fathers (a film originally optioned by Steven Spielberg). However, given Letos prior commitments to touring with his band, Thirty Seconds To Mars, the frontman had no choice but to decline. A similar conflict in scheduling arose when Leto was called upon to play Clayton Beresford in Joby Harolds Awake. Despite his success as an actor, Leto remains dedicated to his band and has even said that his greatest personal accomplishment is his beloved Thirty Seconds To Mars.
