12 Upcoming Sequels That Absolutely Nobody Wants

While sequels were once quick cash-ins that were lucky to make half the money of the original they€™re now a big part of the movie business. Nearly every major film that comes along has a plan for a potential trilogy if the first one is a hit; with maybe some spin-offs if the sequels do well. This is an accepted reality now and while it may show a lack of creativity it helps that sequels are of a higher quality than they used to be. All the same there are some movies that simply don€™t need sequels and just because something was a success doesn€™t mean people are asking for more. The world was doing just fine without Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. But from a business standpoint the smart money is to bank on something with name recognition, which means Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3, 4 and 5 could happen regards of perceived demand. The next year or so has a wide selection of upcoming sequels that nobody is excited about in the least. Most of them are soulless products that hope to turn a profit based on nostalgia or people€™s hazy memories of the prior movie. Some are belated, some are surprising and all of them are unnecessary...
