13 Announced Movies That Will Never Actually Happen
2. All These DCEU Movies
Though the DC Extended Universe is still struggling with growing pains, that hasn't stopped Warner Bros. from confirming a ton of new projects currently in the works, some with slated release dates and others merely announced as in development.
In terms of movies with more concrete dates, Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps are both pencilled in for 2020, but with Justice League's disappointing box office and its failure to establish either hero convincingly, there's virtually no chance Warner Bros. will roll the dice on these challenging properties any time soon.
Elsewhere, there's the likes of Gotham City Sirens, Justice League Dark, Birds of Prey, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Lobo and even Justice League 2, none of which seem like convincing financial sure-things in light of Justice League's reception.
It just makes sense for Warner Bros. to focus on sure-fire bets like Wonder Woman 2, The Batman, Man of Steel 2 and any films focused on Harley Quinn and The Joker, and that's most certainly what they'll do.
