Why It's Going To Be Awesome: Sofia Coppola is back with her first feature film since 2013's forgettable The Bling Ring, and this one has a ton of promise.
Adapted from Thomas Cullinan's novel A Painted Devil, previously made into a 1971 Clint Eastwood-starring film, The Beguiled is sure to be a sinister and sexy thriller, driven forward by a magnificent cast, including Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, Angourie Rice and Oona Laurence.
Coppola is admittedly a rather inconsistent filmmaker, but there's nevertheless huge potential for this to be an intoxicating slow-burn.
