This entry isn't just for 2 Fast 2 Furious, but for any movie that has ever felt the need to substitute numbers for letters in a desperate (and misguided) attempt to seem more "cool" and down with the kids. Perhaps we can blame texting culture for the surge in the last decade of idiotically numerated titles, such as not only 2 Fast 2 Furious, but also Step Up 2: The Streets, Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. They're all horribly punny titles that substitute "2" for "to", though it's 2 Fast 2 Furious that has caught the infamous ire of the Internet over the years. Every time a new Fast and Furious sequel is announced, the jokes abound that it's going to be called 7 Fast 7 Furious (or whatever number they're up to at any given time), because the second movie's title makes so little sense beyond shoving the number two alongside the words "fast" and "furious". Given that these movies have categorically printed money despite their usually terrible titles, couldn't they have just gone with The Fast and The Furious 2? Or even something like Fast and Furious: Miami Takedown?
