2. Human-Dinosaur Hybrids That Can Shoot Guns In Jurassic Park 4
The Pitch: William Monahan (The Departed) and John Sayles' (The Spiderwick Chronicles) original Jurassic Park 4 script from 2004 very nearly got made, and the premise involved human-dino hybrids being developed to fight drug dealers, kitted out in body armour and...being able to shoot guns. They also had dog DNA for added obedience. Yep. What Happened?: Someone at Universal stopped huffing gasoline long enough to realise it was one of the worst ideas to ever enjoy serious consideration by a major motion picture studio. On one hand, while it would've truly been a sight to see, it also would've been one of the most decisively awful ideas to instantly derail a movie franchise in cinema history. The sequel then languished for years and years before, finally, Jurassic World became a real prospect, and is now due for release this summer.
