3. Sister Irene ISN'T Related To Lorraine Warren!? - The Nun
When Taissa Farmiga was cast as protagonist Sister Irene in The Nun, it seemed a foregone conclusion that she would have some sort of link to The Conjuring's Lorraine Warren, who is of course played by her older sister, Vera Farmiga.
What a baffling surprise it was, then, that The Nun revealed not a single link between the two, and the casting was nothing more than a weird coincidence.
Considering it seemed like Irene was going to turn out to be a close relative of Lorraine's or perhaps even a younger Lorraine herself, the fact this ends up being a red herring is actually pretty damn stupid.
It could've been an interesting way to tie these movies together and actually make this spin-off feel more meaningful, but instead it's an utterly forgettable effort from start to finish.
