5. Ryan Gosling's Protagonist - Blade Runner 2

The Role: Little is known of the lead character beyond him being played by Gosling. Naturally, he'll probably be fairly similar to Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard, a Blade Runner hunting down replicants, or perhaps a detective.

Why You Should Be Excited: If a Blade Runner sequel directed by Denis Villeneuve and shot by Roger Deakins isn't reason enough to be on board, then casting one of the best young actors around as the lead should clinch it.

It's easy to imagine Gosling fitting in perfectly with the grimy, neon-soaked world presented in the original movie, and seeing him share the screen with Harrison Ford is all kinds of potential awesome.

Gosling won't only add a ton of star power to the movie, but more importantly, a boatload of talent too.
