11. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
Now, The Lego Movie 2 does look pretty damn fun, but hasn't the novelty of these movies already worn off somewhat?
The Lego Movie was a massively surprising film that subverted a lot of people's expectations, but The Lego Batman Movie didn't quite manage to recapture the same magic despite all the expected elements basically being in place, and does anyone even remember The Lego Ninjago Movie?
Could it be that the original film's brilliance is basically the new normal? While there's little prospect of The Lego Movie 2 being bad - especially with Phil Lord and Chris Miller returning to write the script - it's probably worth lowering your expectations and just hoping for a lightly enjoyable romp that doesn't do a whole lot new.
It won't suck, but don't be surprised if you're left feeling a tad short-changed once it's all over.
