How It Ended: After President Snow is killed, Katniss returns to District 12, where she joins up with a recovered Peeta. The two embrace, and an epilogue sequence then reveals that they end up having two children together.

How It Should've Ended: The film finds a perfect stopping-off point for itself when Katniss and Peeta are tenderly embracing one another and Katniss declares that she does in fact love Peeta.

It was a solemn, emotionally honest moment that even comes with a fitting cut to black, but for the sake of fan service (and because it happened in the novel), we had to sit through Jennifer Lawrence cradling an oddly Asian-looking baby to unintentionally hilarious effect.
