Will Arnett clearly auditioned for the Turtles thinking that his sweet, deep voice would be perfect for one of the animated characters, but then when someone suggested that Johnny Knoxville would be a better option (seriously, that person should be fired immediately) he was pushed aside into the role of Venon Fenwick. Or at least that's what it feels like watching Arnett do precious little other than admire April's backside as she leans out of a car window, and make quips about being an alpha male. At one point, it cuts to him in his apartment listening to Careless Whisper and making himself a sandwich. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have prepped the scene particularly well because he very obviously makes a sandwich only containing mustard and salt - not something that would ruin the film on its own, but horribly noticeable all the same. And it makes Fenwick look like some sort of high-functioning psychopath.
