The Question: The Minions movie gave the little yellow guys an entertaining backstory, but also just opened up a huge can of worms regarding their lifespan. Considering that we see many of the principal characters hanging out with a T-Rex and still being alive today, what exactly is their expiry date? The Likely Answer: It seems that Minions are for all intents and purposes biologically immortal: they will never expire from old age, and can only be killed through their own idiocy. This is of course more likely a plot function to make them more appealing to children (because nobody wants to see dead Minions), but it's pretty damn hilarious for adults too.
