13 Upcoming Comic Book Movies That Could Beat Batman V Superman

6. Deadpool 2

It won't be long before we'll be able to compare Deadpool and BvS to decide which was better. Considering that, despite some lazy storytelling and underwhelming villains, Deadpool was a home run both critically and commercially, Zack Snyder will struggle to reach the same level of near-universal praise, even if its box office should absolutely steamroll Deadpool's. Now, it's fair to assume that, with Deadpool 2 hopefully being a more confident affair and also featuring fan favourite character Cable, it has every opportunity to move away from the first movie's more generic elements and protracted origin story and deliver a vastly superior movie at the same time. Again, we also return to the R-rating aspect: it doesn't guarantee a good movie, but it allows Deadpool 2 to be hilariously irreverent, and craft a tone that's so refreshingly different from anything else in the MCU or DC Extended Universe. Granted, Deadpool 2 will have a lot less plate-spinning to do than BvS: it's a less-ambitious project and sure to be smaller scale, but it seems likely that it'll also be a lot more fun.
