13 Upcoming Movies Destined To Be Box Office Bombs
1. The Voyage Of Doctor Dolittle

Budget: $160 million
Robert Downey Jr. might be box office dynamite for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Universal may well be grossly overestimating his ability to sell anything to everyone.
Considering that an entire generation of people still associate Doctor Dolittle with the mediocre Eddie Murphy movie, this new film will need to work extra hard to win audiences over, and if the effects are anything less than The Jungle Book-tier, viewers might not buy it.
In addition, it releases a week after Shazam!, which could end up a huge breakout hit with kids and adults alike if that first trailer is any indication.
And above all else, that absurdly high budget - reportedly symptomatic of Downey Jr.'s high-priced involvement - means it needs to crack at least $320 million to be truly profitable. Oops.
While it probably won't be an abject disaster, it also won't really be worth the studio's while either.
