The Plot: A love triangle develops between "nice guy" Johnny (writer-director-producer Tommy Wiseau), his fiancee Lisa (Juliette Danielle) and her secret lover, Mark (Greg Sestero), who also happens to be Johnny's best friend. Most WTF Moment: The movie's most infamous subplot involves Lisa's mother informing her that she "definitely breast cancer", a plot point that's promptly abandoned and never returned to later in the movie, its inclusion apparently being for zero reason at all. Why It's Awesome: Frequently hailed as "the Citizen Kane of bad movies", The Room is catnip to bad film aficionados the world over, for despite being a failure in almost every way that a movie genuinely can be, its absurd entertainment value transforms it into a demented comic masterpiece. While many purportedly "so bad it's good" movies might force a few self-conscious chuckles from viewers, Wiseau's beautifully incompetent "drama" is hilarious without any audience prompting whatsoever.
