Why It Looks Terrible: It's a movie about a baby who looks and behaves like an adult (voiced by Alec Baldwin, no less), with the trailer suggesting all of the cringe-inducing humour you'd expect from a film with that log-line.
Plus, early reviews are mixed at best, and it's written by the guy responsible for 2004's aneurysm-inducingly awful live-action Thunderbirds movie, which is the best reason to be enormously skeptical.
Why It'll Still Make A Profit: The title is catchy and it seems slapstick-heavy, which will likely make it play well around the world and possibly even set up a franchise. It's just a case of whether Smurfs: The Lost Village, which releases a week later, takes the wind out of its sails or the two can climb the ladder together.
